Description

About the tour

On this classic tour, we‘ll drive to The Golden Circle and take in all its awe and beauty!

We‘ll visit Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area, and the well-known Gullfoss – the queen of all Icelandic waterfalls.

We’ll walk the beautiful Þingvellir National Park and UNESCO Heritage site. The scenery is amazing no matter the weather! We’ll get a close look at how the tectonic plates drifted apart and where the first settlers of Iceland founded the world´s oldest parliament Althingi (Alþingi) in the year 930.

We then continue to the geysers area with the famous Geysir which all other geysers are named after. Here we’ll see the lively geyser Strokkur erupt roughly every 5-10 minutes and reach a height of up to 25 meters along with observing the other geothermal features of the area.

From there we’ll head up to Gullfoss waterfall, which many Icelanders call the Queen of Waterfalls! Gullfoss is a 32-meter waterfall and, as the name says, it is the Golden waterfall.

The Golden Circle is without a doubt one of Iceland’s most famous highlights and is rich in great stories and tales.
