If you are lucky, and the weather is clear, you may even catch a glimpse of Iceland’s most active volcano Hekla, and the Westman Islands that lie on the southern coast.

The ice cave visit on Mýrdalsjökull

Your pilot will turn towards the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. There you will strap on your crampons step onto the mighty Myrdalsjokull glacier and visit the magnificent ice cave.

Mother Nature has really outdone herself with this one, the movie-like surroundings and glaciers are everywhere you look. Grandiose ice walls tower over you as you walk among them to enter the magical blue and black ice dome of the outlet glacier named after the powerful volcano Katla.
