This tour combines our two best sellers; the Þórsmörk tour and the Eyjafjallajökull snowmobile tour.
The "Fire & Ice" tour is one of our most unique offers. It is a combination of a few of our most popular tours and, most importantly, it includes 2 landings, one on a glacier and one in Þórsmörk valley. The adventure starts from Reykjavik or at a hotel in the southern region area. We will head straight to the famous Eyjafjallajökull glacier for our first landing, flying to the base where our snowmobiles are stored.
Snowmobiling on top of Eyjafjallajökull glacier is an extraordinary experience and an adventure not to be missed!
After a short briefing where your guide will take you through safety procedures, you will put on a snow suit and helmet (gloves and a mask are also provided) . The duration of the tour varies from season to season since we drive up to the ever changing snow-line to reach our snowmobiles. However, the snowmobiling itself is about 1 hour.
Þórsmörk has a very special spot in every Icelanders heart. There is just nothing like it.....Þórsmörk is an incredibly beautiful nature reserve, situated in the heart of south Iceland nestled among three glaciers: Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull. This tour is one of our most popular ones, with so many spectacular hiking options and adventurous rides over various unbridged glacial rivers.
On our spectacular volcano tour we overfly some of the most striking scenery in Iceland. Enjoy the abstract river deltas, tumbling waterfalls, rugged glaciers and countless canyons.
Flying over Þórsmörk valley, our pilots will show you the amazing canyons, mountain tops, and the valleys that lie within it. Look down into crevasses and ice falls that make up the incredible landscape on the edge of the glaciers. Based on the current weather conditions, your pilot will choose the most scenic landing spot to take pictures and experience the surrounding landscape.
We will land on Eyjafjallajökull Glacier for a one hour snowmobiling tour. While the south is certainly spectacular from "below” nothing beats experiencing it from "above”!
