Experience the unique black sand beach of the South Coast on our Polaris 1000 buggy’s. The tour starts in Hella to the black beach in Þykkvibær. Most of the drive will be on a gravel road next to the river West Rangá. We will drive on the black sand for some time before we reach the beach. This is a really quiet beach where you will enjoy driving our buggy’s on the soft black sand. You will also have a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and see and feel the power of the waves.
Don't think 2 hours is enough? Add an extra hour to feel the power of a short but X-treme experience of our tours. Enjoy the beautiful nature of South Iceland in our two seat buggy's. We will drive along tracks, through rivers or streams so prepare to get a little wet.
This 2.5-3 hours ATV tour takes you between two of Iceland‘s most famous and notorious volcanos, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. We will be crossing small rivers and will visit waterfalls and caves along the way. From our base we head to the North where you will experience driving in riverbeds and along less traveled paths West of Mt. Þríhyrningur. During the tour we will stop at a cave which was once inhabited by Irish monks located by the river Fiská. This stop offers a great view over the famous Hekla volcano and Mt. Tindfjoll. At the cave we will light a fire where we treat ourselves with cup of coffee, te and hot chocolate. Just outside the cave entrance stands a rock formation believed to be home of elves and sometimes we even make contact with the inhabitants. This tour offers an easy ride for everyone.
We have insulated cover-all, helmet, balaclava face mask and warm gloves for you. Boots available upon request.
